Similar to your own experience I named my own son Matthew without knowing that my 2 x great grandfather shared the same name.........some things are just meant to be.

She is definitely the ancestor who has stood out the most to me and the one who made me curious about family history. My son definitely loves the fact that we have an ancestor with his name. Just wish we could find a photo of them, but I have a feeling none exist. At least we have some of their story which feels great to share!
